Some of you may have been expecting to watch our latest website design video blog posts, however my colleague Nick is at Glastonbury so this week’s videos have been postponed until Tuesday this week, so my apologies about that! The next two videos on Tuesday will be on the subjects of:
- SEO – The 3 types of sitemaps: Sitemap Pages, XML Sitemaps and Footer Sitemaps.
- Web – Top tips for getting the most out of using Wordpress.
We will then be adding a further 2 videos on Friday too. We also just wanted to clarify that our website design video blog is done in two categories. Firstly there is the website design stream which appears on our Creare Design homepage, then there is a second SEO stream that appears on our other website ‘Creare Comms’.
How to embed (that is W3C compliant) Youtube Videos onto your website design.
I also wanted to take the opportunity to share the embedding code that we use the embed the videos on our website’s design. This code is short, doesn’t require any further javascript and most importantly, is W3C compliant:

Where you can see the value BX0hNhnr3DM on both line 1 and line 2 of code, this is the part that you need to replace with the ID of your video. The above code is just a simple – no frills method for adding videos onto your HTML page. The ratio and dimensions in the example above are the 16×9 wide-screen format that we produce our videos in.
