Web Designers Viral Comics

Posted by on Tuesday, February 16th, 2010 at 9:32 am.

For just about any seasoned Web Designer, it’s likely that at some point you’ve had to battle with the joys of older internet browsers to make your fancy j-query functionality work as intended, or you’ve had to work with a difficult client, reworking you design until it ‘pops’ more.

Of course, these are just a couple of elements which makeup the more relatable side of the Web Designers culture, and it’s resulted in a number of amusing web design viral videos and witty online comics over the years.

If you work for an agency, you’ll be sure to get a kick out of the below, which reflect on everything from the gripes of client communication, post-budget design revisions and the never-ending browser-war.

‘How a Web Design goes Straight to Hell’

The Oatmeal parodies the often-found situation of where a Web Designer goes from being the artistic consultant, to just a mere development drone.

‘Make my Logo Bigger Cream’

Agency Fusion takes a look at common client design revisions in the format of a hilarious infomercial video, no longer will you have to enlarge that vector logo, as the client can now alter it with ease themselves.

‘Go Home Internet Explorer 6’

Internet Explorer 6 needs no explanation when it comes to destroying web development dreams and wasting hours to make it work with modern web standards. RobotJonny takes a look at IE6 and simply requests that it just goes home.

‘Kopozky Web Solutions’

Kopozky is a regularly published comic about typical life in a website design agency, featuring the stereotype designer, content writer, bosses and of course, clients themselves.
