Web Design Tutorial, Apple Mail Signatures

Posted on on Friday, January 8th, 2010 at 9:43 pm.

In 2010’s first web design video blog, Nick and James have moved into Creare’s new professional recording studio. This week’s video is introduced with news about Google’s new phone and the upcoming Apple product launch. This week’s web design tutorial is how to set up basic email signatures in Apple’s default Mail application.

In this two part tutorial, James starts with the basics of adding, saving and customising your text based email signature. In next week’s web video tutorial, part 2 continues with how to create HTML and advanced email templates. You can find the script to the video in the bubble below.

Happy New Year – Welcome to our first web design video blog of 2010. We’ve moved out of our old makeshift studio and into Creare’s new professional one.

So, January looks set to be a busy month for web design related product launches, in addition to Google’s new ‘Nexus One’ phone, Apple have confirmed an event on the 27th of January and are expected to unveil the eagerly anticipated ‘Apple Tablet’ or ‘iSlate’.

If indeed Apple launch a new 10” portable device, it will be interesting to see how its’ version of Safari handles web pages and if any measures will need to be taken by web designers.

This week’s web design tutorial is going to be how to create email signatures in Apple’s Mail application.

Email and Web hosting usually go hand in hand for web designers, so firstly we are going to start with the basics of creating and saving signatures and then next week we will look at creating more advanced HTML email signatures.

Video Tutorial.

As mentioned earlier, next week is part 2 of email signatures – we will take a look at creating HTML signatures and also how you can integrate elements like graphics and dynamic Skype icons.

Thank you for watching, if you have any questions or comments, please leave them on our supporting blog post or on our YouTube channel.

Lots of of bloggers are not really pleased with the new iPad.There was too much hoopla about it and lots of blogers got disapointed.Quite frankly, I can actually see lots of the awesome potential uses of the device. Third-party soft for doing tunes, games, newsprints and magazine and FFS books, all kinds of neat stuff, but they failed to sell it properly (excluding the books). It looks sort of incomplete
